PEI can design, develop and implement a variety of airstrips, from temporary bush strips to permanent runways that can be used all year round. We can implement a single base layer airstrip for a cost effective option based on your soil types, alternatively a multi-base layer construction can be designed for you.
PEI has a formulated soil stabilizer that can be incorporated into the build matrix for improved longevity and reduced erosion, dust and pot holing. The stabilizer acts as a load-bearing enhancer that binds the soil particles which strengthens more over time. A soil analysis will be collected and sampled to ensure the best results.
PEI is able to communicate with CAAZ (Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe) and arrange the permits, inspections and signing off of the runways with correct markings, names and windsocks as required by CAAZ.
Hyena proofing of the apron and parking area for safety and protection of your aircraft can be implemented in the build or supplied as a one-off option.
